A Rich History

The Mallory family, early settlers of the region, played a pivotal role in shaping it into the charming cottage community it is today. In the early 20th century, they began subdividing their land along the bay, offering a serene retreat for those seeking solace by the water. This act laid the foundation for the transformation of the area into Mallory Beach, a name suggested by Aleda Whittemore when Asama K. Mallory purchased 100 acres of land in 1946. The subdivision gained approval in 1948, marking the beginning of this coastal haven.

Since then, Mallory Beach has flourished into a vibrant community. Once a quiet retreat, it now attracts both seasonal visitors and year-round residents who value the area's natural beauty and close-knit community spirit. Families continue to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, scenic landscapes, and a deep sense of connection to the region's rich history, all nurtured by the Mallory family’s vision.
